Reno Type Employees Direct $25,000 in Holiday Giving to Local Nonprofits
For the fifth year in a row, Reno Type marked the holiday season by sharing company profits with nonprofit organizations serving Northern Nevada.
Each employee was given $1,000 to allocate among four local nonprofits. This year, with 25 employees, a total of $25,000 was directed to organizations doing critical work in our community.
The 2025 employee-directed gifts were distributed as follows:
-
Reno Cancer Foundation – $4,300
-
Northern Nevada HOPES – $5,000
-
Food Bank of Northern Nevada – $8,000
-
Options Veterinary Care – $7,700
Four years ago, when Reno Type had 12 employees, this tradition resulted in $12,000 in community giving. As the company has grown, so has the impact.
“Sharing profits with organizations that serve our neighbors , and trusting employees to decide where that support goes reflects how we think about responsibility and stewardship,” said Kurt Hoge, CEO. “This isn’t a one-time gesture. It’s part of how we operate.”
Reno Type is grateful for the work these organizations do year-round and encourages others to support them through donations, volunteering, or advocacy.
