Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, the day enslaved people in Galveston, Texas, learned they were free, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued. The day has become a national opportunity to reflect on the ongoing pursuit of liberty, opportunity, and equal rights for all Americans.
At Reno Type, we believe it’s important to recognize moments that have shaped our country and our communities. Observing Juneteenth gives our team time to reflect, learn, and spend time with family and friends.
