Jose Ramirez

Like many in the printing business, Jose fell into his trade by accident. He was working in the food service industry when his daughter was born and realized he wanted weekends off so he could spend them with his family. A friend worked at Registered Ink, a printing company and said they were looking for help in the bindery department. He applied in 2003, and the rest is history. He first learned to use the Polar cutter, then moved on to folding. He learned fast, his hard work was recognized, and soon he was running a Heidelberg QuickMaster, then SpeedMaster52, and eventually the CD74. Though presses like that are not too common anymore, Jose’s deep understanding of the printing industry serves him, Reno Type, and our clients well. He’s happiest when he’s working. And he’s always working. He started in the industry when his daughter was just 2 months old. She’s 22 now!

What makes Jose the Reno type?

It’s really pretty straightforward. Jose says, “When I leave. I miss it. I want to come back.”
