Marci has worked in the printing industry since her mid-20s, but it was the food service industry that got her started in customer service. From bussing tables in high school to front-of-the-house jobs in fine dining, she’s moved to the top in everything she’s done. Office work for a color separator and marriage to an honest-to-goodness lithographer gave her the chance to do the books for a small, privately held printing company. Account management called her, so she made the move to outside sales at a printing franchise location. In short order, as is her way. she’d worked her way up to be production manager and then general manager. The great recession shook things up and provided her and her husband the chance to work together as owners of Registered Ink Printing company. Everyone who has worked with Marci agrees that her knowledge of the printing trade and excellence in customer service are unrivaled. It was a no-brainer to bring her aboard in a management role here at Reno Type.
What makes Marci the Reno type?
Speaking historically and geographically, she just IS the Reno type. Six generations ago, before Nevada was “battle born,” her family lived right here. Another fun fact: she was the first girl to play on the Mondel Dairy soccer team. If that’s not the Reno type, we don’t know what is. “I’m also really glad to be at Reno Type. The team is great, and there is a system that works. I’ve worked in a lot of printing places that use post-it notes and “I’ll try to remember it” as organizing principles. This works way better.”
