Lynette brings her care for “all things living” to every project. She values working in an industry that serves other businesses so that they can grow and flourish in their communities. In fact, the metaphor of gardening seems to guide her role as office and accounting manager at Reno Type, too. This may be because she is also a landscape designer and a master gardener with a degree in Horticulture. After managing her own landscaping business, she earned her real estate license in the mid 2000’s. She honed her organization and accounting expertise as she branched out to manage and modernize businesses in several different industries until she was discovered by CDMS in 2016. She wanted to find a “work family where what I do matters. Working here was meant to be.”
What makes Lynette the Reno Type?
Lynette has lived in and around Reno since 1975. She grew up camping in the Sierra. “I love life and I love being outdoors. My heart is outside. And here in Reno, our epicenter is our natural beauty.” Her friends call her “The Planner” as she is known for her propensity for bringing people together for hikes, picnics and dog walks. At home, she cultivates her raised vegetable gardens, tries to keep up with the many fruit trees she planted years ago, and most of all makes time to be close with her family. “They keep me young.”
